By 11:30 today, I was at my whits end with the little J-man. He had done everything from flooding the bathroom, spilled the dog's water, shoved toy cars in the cat litter box, and drew me a nice black and white drawing on the wall of the living room. I sat down on the couch with a big huff. I sat their for a few minutes, and then they came. The tiny pitter patter of little sockless feet. He crawled up next to me on the couch and just sat there starring at me. I didn't want to say a word. I wasn't about to be the one to break the silence. Then I hear his little mouth begin to speak. Out of his mouth, in his soft child-like voice came "Mommy are you andry (angry) at me? I just looked at him and said that I was upset with the things that he had done. Then the words came out of his mouth that hit a nerve. "MOMMY ARE YOU PROUD AT ME" I just looked him right in the eye and told him, that I will always be proud of him, even when the things that he does upsets me. Then he said the four most precious words that a mother can ever want to hear... "MOMMY I LOVE YOU" My heart melted.

They always know what to say at just the right times! Funny how they can be the ones to make us upset, but be the first ones to put a smile back on our face. Kids. Gotta love 'em!
