It's the simple things in life that get most overlooked.
The sun rising, the sun setting, every breath you take.
It's the simple things in life that should be held closest
to your heart.
My little J-man made this quite clear today. I was
rushing around, trying to "get things done", as most of
us probably do. I wouldn't say that I was ignoring him,
but he was being good, coloring on paper, so I was just
leaving him be. I decided to sit down for a couple seconds
to take a breather and I heard a little voice say:
"Mommy, I drew you a picture, can we hang it on the bridger-tater to keep pour-ebber"
I looked down at him and saw the proudness in his eyes.
It made me think of all the little things in life that I can miss,
just simply by being too busy trying to "get things done"
My little Jackson is going to Pre-k this fall. His big grand
enterence into the school years. I want to always remember his
toddler years which have come and gone all too fast.
My words of advice to all, is slow down, pull your car of duties over
to the side of the road and look for the flower just starting to bloom.
If you blink, you may miss it.
